WARNING: You are going to see SO many posts over the next 12 months focused on STRENGTH and JOY! Brace yourself! It’s gonna be gooood!!
In our family we have two things we focus on each New Year.
- Word of the Year
- Verse of the Year
Our Word or in my case 2 Words of the Year always comes from my Verse of the Year, this just helps me stay focused. Usually by the end of January, I know my verse by heart and it is seared to my soul. This enables me to carry it around in my memory and be aware of it through my day.
This is the thing, you have to highlight it in your Bibles, post it in your home by writing it on something, you do not have to be fancy with this. I literally have this written on a sheet of lined notebook paper and taped with Dollar Store tape on my bathroom wall. 🙂 You want to see it often throughout your day.
This is where I am for the following year:
- Word/Words of the Year: Strength and Joy
- Verse/Verses of the Year: Ephesians 3:20-21
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV)
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
If you pray about what verses or words the Lord would have for you in 2018, I promise, He WILL tell you. Listen close and lean in as you hear sermons, praise and worship music, studying the Scriptures, and even in convo’s during times of fellowship. The Lord is thematic, you will see and hear Him repeat Himself, write those things down and listen close to what He is doing in our own lives as well as the lives of others. This is where we get to join in and work alongside our Savior.
Post those Words of the Year and Verses of the Year! Stay tuned for more on how we are living Stronger and Joyful in 2018!
Before I close, girls, all of you… thank you for following Live Strong Ministries. It has been the sweetest time over the last 14 months. Your friendships are precious to me. Getting your emails and invites to study and pray with you are the highlight of my 2017. That the Lord would give us something like a blog to live stronger in the Body of Christ is just a testimony of how He is creatively connecting His girls for His glory. I thank the Lord for each of you daily! Let’s do this, shall we?
